drug addiction experiments
I need help with my science fair project?
Hi, im in a science fair in junior high and my topic is drugs and addictions but know i found out i need an experiment with it. Does anyone have a experiment for my topic. I thought of a survey but i am not sure if that counts as a experiment.
survey is more of than observational study… and it would have response bias since people can lie..
IF you can use mammals…
use mice..
you can do this thing i saw on a show – (shows that sugar is addictive)
1. you get mice..
2. you feed them reg food for few days
3. you starve them for half a day or a day..
4. you give them sugar + sugar water for a day or until they get full
5. nxt day or so. you put BOTH the regular food and sugar..
and they SHOULD only eat sugar…
(not sure if your teacher would be okay with sugar as a drug,, but it is addictive..)
- if this is like a state/national science fair.. you will need like special forms to use vertebres in your study
